Testimonials

"Jean  has accompanied my violin and viola students at recitals and is a wonderful performer. She is very professional, kind and caring with the kids, and is extremely talented. I would gladly recommend her as an instructor, and plan on using her talents again in the future!" - Cathy Alonzo, BA Music Performance Viola, Chapman University, Orchestra Instructor for the Capistrano and Saddleback Unified School districts, Musical Director for Strings for Your Heart

"I started taking piano lessons from Jean when I was forty.  I had no musical background or talent, just a dream to learn how to play the piano. Jean turned out to be an excellent teacher and friend!  She is very talented musically and as a teacher as well. She teaches at a good pace, pushes you when needed and has lots of patience. I would highly recommend her as a teacher to "big" kids too!" - Valerie from North Tustin, former adult student

"Our daughter had nearly three great years of instruction by Jean! It was a wonderful start to the world of instrumental music. Jean's gentle humorous way with her was perfect and her reward system motivational. Our daughter has since switched to cello but her positive start in the world of music was well rooted by her piano time with Jean!" - Maggie Craig, parent of a former piano student

We employed Jean's services as a piano instructor for a few of years for our daughter. Jean does a superb job of instilling the fundamentals while also keeping it interesting for the pupil. After being under Jean's tutelage for a while, our daughter fell in love with the theme song to Howl's Moving Castle so Jean found the score for her and helped her learn the piece. What a pleasure to see your son or daughter sit down and play the piano out of their own pure enjoyment! Jean also hosts wonderful recitals. From the young to the young at heart and from the beginners to the accomplished, they are not to be missed. Had we not moved out of state I know we would still have the pleasure of Jean's company at our home once a week - if not for our daughter, then for our own continued education on those magical keys! - Ryan and Carol Spicer, parents of piano student

Musically, Jean became a part of our family 15 years ago. Since our son was 5 years old, Jean not only fostered in him a love of music, but she taught him perseverance and discipline. Her knowledge of music pedagogy made lessons both productive and enjoyable.  We are grateful for all the time and care she took in helping our son develop his talent and most of all we are grateful to call her our friend. - Virgina Reischl, parent of piano student

My music/DJ career would be nowhere without Jean's personal help. Her ability to make difficult musical concepts simple made an inexperienced individual like myself into a respectable musician who now has releases on multiple music labels. Given the opportunity, I would definitely take her lessons again to further enhance my musical knowledge. I would highly recommend Jean to anyone who is even slightly interested in becoming more proficient in music.
-Shane Martinez, former college student

"We love Jean! Our boys took lessons for several years and we always had a positive experience. We loved having her come to our house. She became a good friend over the course of many years. She looked high and low for music my boys asked for, and always had something fun for them to learn. She is patient and understands that each student is very different, with their own unique talents. When I asked my youngest son what he would say about her he said, "That's easy. She's the best!" I couldn't have said it better myself." -Kelly Andersen, parent of 3 former piano students

"Miss Jean's lessons opened up a whole new world. I like learning at a pace that is just right for me. Miss Jean is fun and it's always nice to be with her." - Bailey, 10 year old former student.
